Nuns Leave Santa Barbara

A Nehru

The Sisters of Bethany, a trio of nuns, have served in Santa Barbara for about 57 years. Now all three have left because they were evicted from their convent on Nopal street last year and could not find a place to live. Those who know the SIsters say they're outraged at the way the nuns had to leave thier home.

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles was not available for comment.

Key News Reporter Arti Nehru has more on how the community is reacting to the nuns' departure.
