Atascadero Student Dies At Hospital
The Atascadero Police Department has told KEY News that a student at Atascadero High School has died after being rushed to the hospital. The student was found unconscious, floating in the pool of Atascadero High School. The police responded to calls from the high school of reports of an unresponsive male in the pool and arrived on scene immediately. When police arrived they found school staff members administering CPR to victim, who had been pulled from the pool. Police began to administer CPR until fire and medics arrived who then transported the boy to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Paso Robles. Lt Brian Dana of the Atascadero Police Dept. has told KEY News more information will be released at the discretion of school officials with the Atascadero Unified School District.
