Votes May Decide on Safe Neighborhoods Act

Are you willing to have more tax dollars pumped into front line crime fighting and neighborhood crime prevention?

Voters could get that issue in November.

Signatures on a petition called the Safe Neighborhoods Act have been turned into election officials.

Tony Strickland, a State Senate candidate says the state needs to address the problem on the front end with not only strong police enforcement but also comprehensive efforts to reduce gang involvement.

He says the plan will also fund programs that track repeat habitual offenders through modern technology.
