No Smoking In Oxnard Apartments
The Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority of Oxnard has approved a ban on smoking in some of their rental units. The rentals that are affected by the new rule are senior public housing complexes in the downtown Oxnard area. The ban prohibits tenants from smoking inside their apartments, common areas or within 30ft of the building. The ban was unanimously approved on Tuesday night at a city council meeting. If residents violate the new restriction they will be notified by the Housing Authority staff and they will face a termination of their lease if they continue to violate the ban.
