LocalFree Vitamins And Supplements
Those of you born before 1949 are eligible for a free 6 month supply of Centrum Silver multi-vitamins and Caltrate supplements. The City of Thousand Oaks Council on Aging are offering the free vitamins through a pilot program by the Ventura County Area on Aging and "Nourish America." In today's sour economic times, seniors are finding it tougher to cover their expenses. Many older adults are being forced to choose between paying for medication, food and housing needs all on a fixed income in the world of rising prices. According to their website Nourish America supplies seniors with high nutritional products to ease the struggles they face everyday. The giveaway will take place on Friday March, 28th from 10a.m.-2p.m. at the Goebel Senior Adult Center at 1385 Janss Rd in Thousand Oaks, and also from 2p.m.-5p.m. at the Thousand Oaks Library located next door to the Goebel Center. And if you can't make it on Friday, the VCAAA will be handing out more of the vitamins and supplements on Saturday the 29th in Newbury Park at the Newbury Park Library, from 11a.m.-1p.m. For more information log onto their website.
