After six months of working in conjunction with the DEA, a team from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. and Santa Barbara Sheriff Regional Narcotics Enforcement Team, authorities have netted five subjects involved in a major, illegal marijuana and narcotics operation. Along with the five arrests, authorities have confiscated: 15 firearms, 125lbs of marijuana, 2lbs of hashish, over $171, 000 in cash and 174 marijuana plants. Four of the suspects were arrested at numerous locations throughout Santa Barbara County and the fifth suspect was arrested in Los Angeles County. Investigators are searching for three other suspects involved with the crime ring that, are still at large. KEY News Senior Reporter John Palminteri has more on this story.
