Toxic Gas Leak At Greka
Santa Barbara County Fire Dept. has responded to a Greka facility off Palmer Rd and the 101 freeway on the report of a gas leak. Upon arriving on scene firefighters detected a toxic Hydrogen Sulfide gas leak. HAZMAT crews have been notified and are on site investigating the leak. Fire crews have also evacuated Greka employees off two lease site. The CHP has closed Palmer Rd from the 101 freeway to Dominion RD.
UPDATE: According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Newsline, Palmer Rd has been reopened and the HAZMAT crews are still on site searching for the gas leak point of origin. KEY News has a crew on scene and will have more on this developing story. |
