Controversial News-Press Movie Premieres
The controversial battle between some reporters at the Santa Barbara News-Press and Publisher Wendy McCaw hits the big screen.
"Citizen McCaw" is a documentary featuring many of the reporters involved and some veteran journalists from out of the area. The movie makers say they were unable to get an interview with McCaw about the film. Calls by KEY News to the News-Press and it's attorney for a comment were not returned. When asked if it was like a reality show mixed in with a journalistic soap opera, Producer Rod Lathim said, " Here are all these amazing characters. These unfoldings of happenings, and you say 'did you hear what's happening today?' You couldn't write this stuff!" Reporter Joe Gehl has audience reaction to the movie. |
