Missing Santa Barbara Woman is Found
86-year-old Carla Seed is back at her Shoreline Drive home safe and sound this Friday afternoon. The Santa Barbara woman who suffers with Alzheimer's went missing Wednesday night. Seed's elderly husband last saw his wife at around six o'clock when he went to her bedroom to ensure she was in bed for the night. He found her missing and called 911. Officers have been conducting a house to house search for the missing woman, contacting neighbors and searching yards since about 7 o'clock on Wednesday night. The Santa Barbara Sheriff's helicopter spent much of Thursday searching for the woman by air. Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue, Harbor Patrol and the Santa Barbara City Fire Department helped in the search. The elderly woman showed up at her house around noon Friday and told our news crew that she had just gone out for a walk. Key News Senior Reporter John Palminteri has more in this report.
