Former Student Sentenced For Fatal Crash

The former Santa Barbara City College student convicted of fatally running down a local doctor was sentenced to six years and four months in prison Monday.
Heather Hulsey was sentenced for killing Montecito Dr. Ronald Shlensky while driving under the influence of alcohol in July of 2006 .
The 22-year-old gave up her right to a jury trial in December 2007 and plead "no contest."
Hulsey could have been sentenced up to 9 years in prison.
The judge issued the ruling without the possibility of probation.
