Former News-Press Workers Speak Out
Eight fired employees from the Santa Barbara News Press fire back on owner Wendy McCaw after a Federal Administrative law judge concluded that the paper violated federal labor laws. The conflict came as many workers were attempting to join a union and bargain for a contract.
The eight workers stood in front of the building where they once worked and said the paper's owner broke the law at at press conference today. Workers hope the recent decision will help them get back pay, a contract and a job once again. KEY NEWS Reporter John Palminteri brings you the story. |
