SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden departed the Santa Barbara Airport on Saturday afternoon, after whirlwind weekend trip.
The Biden's stopped before boarding Air Force Two and turned to wave goodbye to the crowd that had gathered in the distance to see them off. Daniel Lender of Santa Barbara brought his young son to the airport. He said, "We're here because I think it's a great experience for my kids to see the Vice President and see the airplane."
The Biden's arrived in Santa Barbara on Friday afternoon and were greeted by crowds of people. The Biden's also met with a group of local teachers and gave them a tour of Air Force Two.
The rest of their trip was top secret. The Vice President was the guest of honor at a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee at an undisclosed location on Friday night.
As for a potential run for President in 2016, Biden's hasn't yet said if he'll throw his hat in the ring. But, there's been some speculation about it. Annette Winter of Santa Barbara said, "It could be very interesting. Especially since Hillary Clinton might be running as well.
