SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Students at University of California Santa Barbara started getting their second Meningitis B vaccine shot.
The clinic started at 10 a.m. Monday and goes until 6 every night this week except for Thursday which will go until 8 p.m.
This clinic will be one week, instead of two. It is important for students who got the first vaccine to get this booster shot because it will protect them for several years.
Students we spoke with today, said this shot wasn't as bad as the first and that the nurse staff was great at taking their minds off the shot.
UCSB students who did not get the first dose, still have an opportunity this week. The clinic will arrange their second, followup shot individually with each patient.
