GROVER BEACH, Calif. - A Grover Beach woman is under arrest, charged with endangering a child. Police say she sprayed the little girl in the face with weed killer.
Neighbors tell KCOY they have complained to the homeowners association and have tried to get the woman out of their complex.
According to neighbors 60-year-old Julie Rodenhuis moved in to the complex about 4 years ago and since then their children have been afraid to play outside.
Rodenhuis was arrested for spraying a 7-year-old girl in the face and eyes with a poisonous weed killer. Neighbors say it was because the child splashed water on her at the pool.
The girl was treated at the hospital. Rodenhuis is facing three felony charges of of assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious injury and child endangerment. She is being held in the county jail on a $100,000 bond.
