SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors agreed to cancel the local drought emergency in their meeting Tuesday.
Though officials say the drought is over in the county, the region still faces an unbalanced water supply and demand.
The drought emergency proclamation as made on March 11, 2014. Large storms that passed through San Luis Obispo County this fall and winter helped ease drought conditions.
County officials urge the community to continue conserving water and the county will look for new water conservation solutions.
