If you commute on Highway 101 at night or in the morning, get ready for a long drive.
CalTrans will shut down at least one lane of traffic in both directions again Monday and Tuesday nights.
The closure is from Bates Road in Carpinteria to south of Mussels Shoals -- roughly a 6-mile stretch.
Based on Sunday night's closure, the gridlock will go from Ventura to almost Santa Barbara.
NewsChannel 3 talked with drivers who said even the back roads were packed Sunday night.
The southbound lanes will close at 8 p.m. and won't reopen until 9 a.m. the following day.
The northbound lanes will close from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day.
