GROVER BEACH, Calif. -

Two packages left on the front door of a Grover Beach home, were brazenly stolen by a passerby in broad daylight. The scene was captured on the home's video surveillance camera system.

The video shows a car driving down the street suddenly stop, reverse and park in front of the home on the 900 block of Rockaway Avenue.

The passenger gets out of the dark-colored early 2000's model Honda Civic, walks to the front porch of the home and steals two boxes. He takes them back to the car, gets in and leaves the scene.

The theft happened on April 21, 2014 just before 3:00 p.m. As it was happening, two vehicles and one pedestrian pass by unaware that a felony crime is being committed in front of them.

The Grover Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help in solving this theft and has released the video of the theft to the public on its Facebook page.

Anyone who may have been in the 900 block of Rockaway on April 21, 2014 at about 3:00 p.m. and may have seen this crime is asked to call the Grover Beach Police Department.
