VENTURA, Calif. -

Visitors will see all kinds of galleries during ArtWalk Ventura Saturday and Sunday.

Pods are being used as mini galleries in the downtown area.

One of them is filled with photographs and historic items show casing the 40-year history of Patagonia.

A Gerd Koch Exhibition will be on display at the Vita Art Center.  Koch has been named the 2013 artists of distinction.

The weekend event will also include a street festival by the WAV artist colony on Ventura Avenue.

Art lovers may also purchase hand crafted bowls that can be used to sample cuisine at downtown restaurants.

The proceeds will benefit Project Understanding, a nonprofit trying to transform lives through justice, and compassion.
