SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Our Lady of Guadalupe Mercado is bustling with food, music and dancing.
The mercado is one of the "best kept secrets" of Old Spanish Days, known to locals for its authentic and traditional cuisine.
The church is located at Nopal and Montecito Streets on Santa Barbara's Eastside, just blocks from the heart of Fiesta.
In year's past, the church's tamales have sold out!
All the money raised is used to fund church services and infrastructure improvements.
The popular mercado also boasts games and entertainment.
On Saturday, young dancers with the Zermeno Dance Academy impressed the crowd.
Dancer Cameron DePaco said she loves to perform.
"I like seeing the crowd and I love dancing," she said. "I am going to do it again next year and it makes me feel happy."
The Our Lady of Guadalupe Mercado is open through the weekend until 9 p.m.
