VENTURA, Calif. - Opponents of the Trump administration's plan to expand oil drilling off the West Coast held marches and rallies on Saturday.
Hundreds of people marched from Ventura City Hall to the beach in Ventura on Saturday morning.
Ventura County Supervisor Steve Bennett said he appreciated the people who came out to protest in his community.
Many believe more offshore drilling will damage marine life and coastal communities.
Some protestors plan to travel to a hearing in Sacramento on Thursday.
