GOLETA, Calif. -

Officers are driving the message home that drinking and driving don't mix.

Goleta police held a checkpoint tonight near the UCSB campus.  They say more checkpoints will follow as they increase enforcement through the Labor Day holiday.

The CHP made 11 arrests during a checkpoint in the Santa Barbara area Thursday night.

Officers also said they used a tazer on an Isla Vista man trying to flee from the checkpoint.

The increased enforcement is paid for with traffic grants.

One grant is called Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
