Surfers share the waves
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

It's not everyday a surf contest along the Rincon between Santa Barbara and Ventura counties makes national news, but the Rincon Classic did thanks to a pod of dolphins that stole the show.

Surfers saw it in person during the women's final.

Other caught it on television and now even more are surfing the web to see it.

Night surfers in Santa Barbara said the dolphin should be the winners of the two-day event.

Abby Brown seen surfing with the dolphins is a Santa Barbara teen who won the Wahine Divison for the second year in a row.  She hopes to go pro.

Chris Keet, of Surf Happens surf school, organized the annual competition and said he hopes the outstanding surfers get as much attention as the dolphins.
