GAVIOTA, Calif. -

Caltrans wants to know what you think of a plan to redesign two curves on Highway 101.

The existing curves are on the northbound side of Highway 101 right before the Gaviota rest stop.  Caltrans says there is a history of drivers running off the road and crashing in the area.  Caltrans wants to turn the sharp curves into one curve that isn't as sharp.

A public meeting on the proposal is scheduled at Vista de Las Cruces School in Gaviota for June 5th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

You can view the plans by visiting the link below.
