Ventura search warrant nets guns and illegal drugs

VENTURA, Calif. - A Ventura man was arrested Tuesday evening after a search warrant turned up a large supply of guns and illegal drugs.

The search warrant was served at 8:00 p.m. at a home on the 1500 block of Daphne Avenue in Ventura.

Ventura County Sheriff's Detectives found cocaine, evidence of drug sales, cash and a large amount of firearms and ammunition.

61 handguns and 14 long guns were taken from the home.

Chuck Daft, 45, of Ventura was arrested at the home. Daft is a licensed firearms dealer, but officials say he will likely face drug charges.

Daft taken to the Ventura County Main Jail on a complaint of illegal drug violations.He posted his $50,000 bail.
