VENTURA, Calif. - The Ventura Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent one Ventura resident to the hospital early Saturday morning.
At around 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 400 block of East Thompson.
When officers arrived they were unable to locate a victim but received word that the victim was transported in a vehicle to Ventura County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives and crime scene investigators interviewed witnesses and attempted determine the sequence of events that led to the shooting.
