Two Oxnard teens accused of attacking Walmart employee

VENTURA, Calif. - Two Oxnard teens were arrested Thursday after police say they attempted to steal property from Walmart and then attacked a store employee.

At around 4:00 p.m., Ventura police officers responded to Walmart located at 1739 South Victoria Avenue in Ventura.

A Walmart employee observed two female teens who appeared to be attempting to steal property from the store.

When the employee confronted the two females, they began physically attacking the employee. The employee suffered minor injuries.

The suspects fled on foot near the 5700 block of Ralston.

Officers responded to the area and found the suspects hiding in the restroom of an office building in the area.

The suspects were positively identified and arrested.

Both suspects were booked into juvenile hall and could face charges for robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.
