ORCUTT, Calif. - A teenage suspect was arrested Sunday after posting threatening messages on social media.
A staff member of Orcutt Academy High School reported seeing threatening messages posted on the teen's SnapChat. Authorities did not release the identity of the teen.
Two social media posts showed a person holding different firearms and threatening school violence.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office were able to locate the teen with the assistance of Orcutt Academy and Righetti school administrators.
The suspect was arrested in connection to the social media threats. The firearms pictured in the social media posts were determined to be fake.
