Sheriff's Office searches for burglary suspect in San Luis Obispo

Suspect burglarized six vehicles on May 26

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect believed to have burglarized six vehicles on May 26.

The burglaries were reported to have happened at a parking area on TB Tower Road in San Luis Obispo between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. the next morning on May 26. The Sheriff's Office says the suspect broke car windows and stole items including wallets, riding equipment, and jewelry.

Surveillance photos have been obtained of the suspect using one of the stolen credit cards at an ATM.

The Sheriff's Office urges residents to take preventative steps to avoid becoming a victim of vehicle burglary. The Sheriff's Office recommends to not leave valuables in your car and to lock your doors and windows, and park in a well-lit area.
