Santa Maria police searching for armed robbery suspect

Suspect robbed Little Caesar's Pizza

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Maria Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect who robbed a pizza place Monday morning.

Police say the suspect entered Little Caesar's Pizza at 2120 S. Broadway at around 9 a.m. as employees were preparing to open for the day.

The suspect entered the business armed with a handgun, approached an employee and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and fled the area on foot.

Police say the suspect ran north through the alley by Target and then exited the alleyway and ran north on McClelland Street. 

The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male, between the ages of 25 and 40. He was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, dark colored pants and dark shoes. 

Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is asked to contact the Santa Maria Police Department at (805) 928-3781. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and police say not to approach him.
