SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Maria Police Department made an arrest in connection to a string of robberies that took place in Santa Maria in December.
The robberies took place at local businesses between December 23 and December 25.
Officers identified a suspect in the robberies and on December 28, 2017 that suspect was arrested at a Santa Maria residence. He has been identified as Darrik Paul Cuevas, 31, of Santa Maria.
Police say they also located additional evidence at the residence linking Cuevas to the robberies.
Cuevas was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail and was charged with three counts of robbery by the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office.
The robberies are still being investigated. No further information has been released at this time.
