GOLETA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department has been investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide that took place Tuesday morning in Goleta.

A 911 call came into the dispatch center shortly after 7:00 a.m. for a report of a disturbance.

Deputies found a deceased woman inside of second floor apartment on the 7000 block of Aldus Drive in the Hollister Village Apartment Community. Upon further investigation they found another woman's body inside the garage.

According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department, the incident appears to be a murder-suicide and at this time there are no outstanding suspects.

A neighbor in the apartment complex told KEYT that five people lived in the apartment including on adult man, two adult women and two children.

A child was screaming right before the 911 call was made and patrol units arrived.

The children, a boy and girl, were removed from the home, according to a witness.  Later a man was walked out.

The area remains blocked off with yellow tape as investigators comb the scene and tag evidence.

A special protective pop up tent appears to be an area where bags, possibly evidence, are being brought out.

The garage had a silver Range Rover SUV inside.

Late this afternoon a Servicemaster truck was outside of the building and a crew brought out bags and sealed plastic tubs of items.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is not releasing any more details, including the names or ages of those involved,  at this time.
