SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A police pursuit ended in Santa Barbara's Eastside Monday afternoon with one person detained.

Various personnel with the Santa Barbara Police Department and Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident that ended outside United Refrigeration Inc. located in the 100 block of Nopalitos Way.

A spokesperson for the Santa Barbara Police Department said the pursuit began with Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies and officers with SBPD and the California Highway Patrol assisted deputies towards the very end of the pursuit.

The pursuit began at the west end of Goleta just before 1:30 p.m. when police received a report of a domestic disturbance, authorities confirmed. The suspect eventually exited Milpas Street and drove around the Eastside neighborhood before ending the chase on Nopalitos Way near Cacique Street.

It appears the suspect, whose identity has not been released, may have been involved in a crash just before the chase ended. He was taken into custody at gunpoint.

No further details were immediately known. Check back for updates.
