SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Police are investigating a deadly shooting and child abduction Monday night.

Police responded to a report of a domestic dispute and shooting before 9 the Arbolinda Apartments on the 200 block of North College Drive.

Police say when officers arrived on scene they discovered an unidentified woman dead from gunshot wounds.

The homicide suspect is believed to be the victim's ex-husband, 48-year-old Konstantin Morozov.

Police believe Morozov fled the apparent murder scene with the couple's 9-year-old son Daniel in a newer model VW Golf hatchback, which was found abandoned later Tuesday morning.

Police now believe Konstantin Morosov is driving in a black, Jeep Cherokee with a license plate of 7XZK698.

Anyone who sees the homicide suspect in this case, Konstantin Morozov or the boy involved, is urged not to approach the two but to call 911 immediately.
