On July 4, officers with the Port Hueneme Police Department received a call of a shooting victim in the 2700 block of Bolker Drive where they found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police identified the victim as 16-year-old Junior Sandoval from Oxnard.
“It’s my understanding that the victim was in the company with his brother and that a possible altercation took place with a group of other subjects prior to the shooting,” said Port Hueneme Police Chief Andrew Salinas.
Sandoval was hit by the suspect's vehicle and shot multiple times in the back. There is no description of the suspects involved in this crime at this time.
