Oxnard man sentenced to 9 years on child pornography charges

OXNARD, Calif. - An Oxnard man will spend nine years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

George Anthony Rocco IV, 36, was sentenced in Ventura County District Court on Friday.

Rocco pleaded guilty in August to possessing child pornography while being a registered sex offender.

From June 2015 to January 2017, Rocco possessed child pornography that he streamed from the internet.

Law enforcement searched his home on three separate occasions and Rocco damaged or hid the phone he was using to obtain the child pornography every time.

Computer forensics investigative techniques were able to uncover Rocco’s actions.

Rocco was on parole for committing lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14 during this period.

The Oxnard Police Department, the Southern California High Tech Task Force, and the Division of Adult Parole Operations led the investigation.
