Oxnard man arrested, accused of stalking ex-wife

CAMARILLO, Calif. - An Oxnard man was arrested after police say he was stalking his ex-wife.

On Thursday, April 13, Camarillo police received a report that Anthony Ramirez, 54, violated his domestic restraining order. Police learned that Ramirez was suspected of violating the same restraining order multiple times over a six-week period.

The violations took place in Ventura, Port Hueneme and Camarillo.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Ramirez' arrest.

On Friday, April 21, investigators with the Camarillo Police Department arrested Ramirez at his Oxnard home. He was taken into custody without incident.

Ramirez was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail with a bail set at $250,000. He could face charges for stalking and threatening the victim.

Nearly 10 million people every year are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. Camarillo police want to remind citizens to report suspected domestic violence to your local law enforcement agency.
