OXNARD, Calif. - An Oxnard man who sold heroin to a man that would later die of an overdose pled guilty to charges of manslaughter.
Ryan Tepezano, 36, of Oxnard pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter with an enhancement after he sold heroin to 32-year-old Christoper Ariaz. Ariaz would later die after overdosing on heroin.
Tepezano was already serving a sentence for multiple drug related charges when he was charged in connection to Ariaz's death.
On Friday, Tepezano was sentenced to three years in jail and three years of mandatory supervision following his release. He is also ordered to pay restitution to the state and Ariaz's family.
