OJAI, Calif. - The owner of a known "drug house" in Meiners Oaks near the city of Ojai was arrested Sunday along with six other people suspected of various drug-related offenses.
At around 12:30 p.m., Ventura County Sheriff's deputies conducted a probation search at the home at 316 El Conejo Drive in Meiners Oaks. The house had been the subject of 23 law enforcement calls and 38 arrests this year.
Patrol deputies located the owner of the home, Duane Crecelius, and six other people inside the house.
Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and syringes were discovered inside the building.
Crecelius was arrested and faces felony drug charges for maintaining a place for the purpose of unlawfully selling, giving away, or using any controlled substance.
Crecelius could also be charged for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
The six people in the building were arrested for various probation violations and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Crecelius and the six suspects were booked into the Ventura County Main Jail. Crecelius remains in custody with a bail set at $15,000.
