OJAI, Calif. - An Oak View man was arrested Friday on child pornography charges after a week-long investigation.
The investigation began after authorities say the suspect was photographing students at Nordhoff High School in Ojai.
School officials reported seeing a suspicious man photographing students during a football game on Sept. 29. The man was contacted by authorities and escorted off school property.
He was identified as George Baker Jr., 64, of Oakview. Following the incident at the football game, police began investigating Baker.
Detectives and school officials were able to identify two students who reported to be victims of Baker. One student was allegedly battered by Baker and the other was reportedly sexually battered by Baker. Baker is also accused of taking provocative photos of the two students.
Baker was arrested last Friday at his place of employment. He was booked into the Ventura County Mail Jail.
Following the arrest, detectives executed a search warrant at Baker's home. Investigators found evidence of child pornography downloaded from the internet, with additional evidence that Baker had committed crimes with other female juvenile victims. It appears Baker had been producing or attempting to produce his own child pornography.
Baker is currently out of custody after posting a $50,000 bond. He is due in Ventura Superior Court on October 25. He faces likely charges for sexual battery, child annoying, possession of child pornography, and battery
