New technology used to find suspect in 2014 Oxnard park murder case

It has been three years since homicide occurred

Detectives still searching for suspect

OXNARD, Calif. - Three years ago this week, Labh Nigah, an Oxnard father of three was found stabbed to death at Sierra Linda park after he dropped his son off at school nearby

Detective Miguel Serrato says he is still searching for the suspect. Recently, Serrato was able to get a composite of what the suspect looks by using DNA

He says this is the first case in California to use this technology

“We have tried everything,” said Serrato. “A simple thing like generating that composite out of DNA has never been done in Ventura County but we are desperate to get answers for the family.”

Serrato is hoping someone with information will step forward to bring the family closure.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a dark-skinned male between the ages of 14 and 22 with black hair and around six feet tall.

If anyone has information, you are urged to contact Ventura County Crimestoppers. The city of Oxnard is offering a $10,000 reward and you can remain anonymous.
