VENTURA COUNTY, Calif - A Los Angeles man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison after he was convicted of multiple armed robberies in Ventura County.
Andre Love, 38, of Sylmar in Los Angeles was sentenced to three consecutive terms of 30 years to life in prison after he was found guilty on five charges of robbery.
Love committed three armed robberies in Ventura County between July 2015 and May 2016.
In July 2015, Love held the manager of Bandits Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks at gun point and took money from the registers, deposit bags and tip envelopes. Love then tied the manager up and fled the scene.
On May 1, 2016, Love entered Al Mulino’s Italian Deli in Westlake Village after business hours and pointed a firearm at the janitor. Love stole the janitor’s wallet and forced him into the bathroom and instructed him to remain inside for 15 minutes to give Love time to leave.
Just a few weeks later, Love entered Cisco’s Mexican Restaurant in Thousand Oaks at the close of business and pointed a firearm at three employees, demanding money and cell phones. Love took money and cellphones from the business and employees and threatened to kill them if they called the police.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office was eventually able to identify Love as a suspect and arrest him in connection to those crimes.
