ISLA VISTA, Calif. - Authorities arrested 19-year-old Isla Vista resident Daniel Joseph Garcia in connection to a hate crime on April 15 near U.S. Highway 101 and Refugio State Beach.
The victim, a 63-year-old Santa Paula resident had been attacked with a guitar because the suspect thought the victim was homosexual, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office.
