SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Several auto break-ins and thefts have been reported in the last two days in Santa Barbara and Goleta, and car owners have been  left with losses.

One truck owner in the area of Rhoads and Walnut found his Chevy Silverado on bricks and the right side tires and rims missing.

A musician on the Mesa found his van window smashed and production tools missing.

Surveillance video from two locations in Goleta show what appears to be three males getting into vehicles and trying door handles on another.

In many cases the burglaries are taking place between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Police urges car owners to hide their valuables, double check that their doors are locked and have good lighting where the vehicles are parked.
