[Update 4:45 p.m.] - The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office said the woman involved in Friday's Orcutt shooting is 35 years old but declined to identify her or the person detained in connection with the shooting.

The person of interest was found inside the home where the shooting occurred. The Sheriff's Office said the woman lived at that home.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. KCOY 12 Reporter Sean Larsen spoke with a neighbor who shares a wall with the home where the incident occurred.

"I heard some noise in the back but I didn't pay much attention to it because I hear it all the time," said Harold Barr. "Then I heard a male's voice yelling at somebody to get out--that they didn't want them there. And it just kept going on and on."

Barr said he tried to mind his own business until he heard more commotion.

"And then all of a sudden, I heard him in the backyard yelling '911! 911!, I need a paramedic, this is not a joke. My wife has been shot'," recounts Barr. "You know, I thought he'd be more shook up than what he was but he was pretty calm about it when he called."

Barr added that he did not hear a gunshot during the commotion next door.

Authorities do not believe the community is in any danger related to this incident. Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to call the Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Division at 805-681-4150 to leave an anonymous tip at 805-681-4171.
