Antique Alley repairs window after early week burglary

Break-in similar to others in the area

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The large front display window at the Antique Alley on State Street in Santa Barbara has been replaced after a break in recently.

No arrests have been made.

Police are investigating after an alarm went off Saturday morning before dawn. The business is located in the 700 block of State near Ortega Street.

The suspect or suspects were able to avoid the door and get through the window.

Sources tell NewsChannel 3 jewelry and coins were taken. Police have not released any detailed information.

Several burglaries have taken place on the South Coast since April in a similar way or through front glass doors.

Suspects have mainly been taking cash within about four minutes and leaving the scene before police or sheriff's units arrive.

In some cases they have broken into several businesses in the same time period.
