SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Five suspected gang members were arrested Wednesday as part of a months-long investigation into criminal activity linked to the "Santa Barbara Eastside Gang."
The investigation was conducted by the Santa Barbara Police Department in conjunction with the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
During the investigation, cocaine, methamphetamine and thousands of dollars in cash were seized.
On Wednesday, search and arrest warrants were served in both Santa Barbara and Lompoc that resulted in the arrest of five suspects.
Sergio Diaz, 36, of Santa Barbara was indicted federally on Distribution of Cocaine.
Javier Zamudio, 32, of Santa Barbara was charged locally with Sales of Cocaine and Participation in a Criminal Street Gang.
Adrian Alejandre, 29, a resident of Santa Barbara was indicted federally on Distribution of Methamphetamine.
Dennis Cummings, 22, of Lompoc was indicted federally on Conspiracy and Distribution of Methamphetamine.
Robert Sullivan-Seher, 48, of Lompoc was indicted federally on Conspiracy and Distribution of Methamphetamine.
The Santa Barbara Police Department thanked the FBI and ATF for their assistance in the investigation.
