3 teens arrested after stealing, crashing car in Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Three 13-year-old juveniles were arrested after police say they stole a car and crashed into seven parked cars in Santa Maria.

Santa Maria Police Department were dispatched to the area of South Bonita Street and East Church Street at around 2:15 p.m. 

Police found the teens sitting in the car with the doors locked. They were arrested and booked into juvenile hall where they could face charges for threatening a police officer, driving under the influence, and stealing and crashing the vehicle.

One of the juveniles will require a mental health evaluation. 

Police say the damage to the vehicles was mild or moderate.
