The Pismo Beach Car Show features about one thousand cars of all makes and models from every decade possible.
This show will attract well more than 150,000 people to the town. As you might imagine, fitting that many people into Pismo Beach is not easy.
The streets and sidewalks are packed wall to wall, and good luck finding a place to park with various street closures.
The car show is always held on third weekend of June every year and usually coincides with Father's Day, but not this year.
Despite that, the same huge crowds are expected, especially since most graduations are now complete, giving more people the opportunity to travel to Pismo. Friday marks day one of the car show.
It goes on through Sunday and is totally free.
California Highway Patrol will enforce three southbound Highway 101 off-ramps closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the following locations: Price Street, Highway 1 at Pismo Beach and Hinds Avenue.
