Southern California Remains in Drought Despite Rain

Several more storms needed to bring city totals back to normal

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Rain in the forecast on Wednesday although much needed will still not be even close to enough to get us out of the drought.

Even getting less then an inch from Wednesday's storm will not bring us any closer to ending the drought in southern California.

It would take several more inches or a few more storms like we saw at the beginning of the month to catch everyone back up to where totals should be.

According to the National Weather Service, the Camarillo Airport lags 9" below normal.

The Santa Barbara Airport needs another 10", Santa Maria Airport is lacking nearly  9" and in Paso Robles, just over 7.5" behind where we should be at this time of year.
