SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - April showers are being upstaged by March showers. In the midst of the three-year drought, Santa Barbara residents enjoyed the rain that moved through around dinner time.
Some Canadian tourists didn't understand what all the fuss was about. They came to California to escape the snow and hadn't heard about the severe lack of rain.
Rain wasn't great for business on State Street, but employees at Brighton said it was the first time they had rain while an umbrella was in the window. They are offering a free umbrella as a gift with every $100 purchase.
